dear sir, i can book the swift vdi(3-month waiting)but some one says in delhi govt banned the diesel vehicle or not.But each every car company make diesel version along with petrol so why it is possible one side govt also approval to make diesel version on all companys. Secondly the mentienance cost is comman on swiftvdi is high to petrol version or same . Third---the avg of diesel in city and highway.if any one use vdi in new delhi pls suggest me the servise cost of every 10,000km(1-year). devinder yadav

Hi,
Diesel cars are not banned inDelhi and it will never be.Overall maintenance of diesel version is higher than petrol but it will be cost effective if used regularly for long drives.Diesel version Swift gives average mileage of 17KMPL.

It is immpossible for any government to ban diesel vehicles in any part of world ,maintainence of diesel cars are always higher than petrol cars,my diesel seift gives me the avaerage of 15KMPL

I usually drive on highways and free roads, and have received a mileage of 19-23kpl with regular diesel.
Ownership cost in the past 2 years has only been the maintenance, about 1-3K every 3 months.

Hi

If you are using the car daily for 100 KM and above it is better to buy diesel version. Otherwise Petrol is better to drive and maintain.

Always diesel engine are the high maintenance than petrol.


Swift may be give the avaerage of 17KMPL It may be increase or digrease depending upon your driving.
