Go for Swift Dzire - Diesel . It gives 20-22 average. As per the latest study it is the largest selling car of year in that category. And it's from Maruti be sure for low maintenance and good re-sale value.

SX4 would come fit in the range of 7 lakhs. Swift dezire is a better choice. Diesel is somethig you should prefer when you travel around 12000 kms / annually. Else, Petrol would suffice. However, its been observed that petrol vehicle would ask for lesser maintenance than diesel ones. Looking at resale value .. I would advice you to go for Honda City. Verna would not fetch you more in resale. However, one last punch ... SX4 is the only car in its class to have the highest ground clearance. So, bumpy rides, you donot have to watch out or slow down for ground hit. Enjoy your new car. All the best.

Go for the new SX4 even though you may have to make some slight flexibility in your budget.It is the best option in this price range for indian road conditions.

SX4 is the best option for u, but still i want u to take a test drive of verna and then make ur decision of buying.
