Cars Q&A

Question
I am having Hundai Ascent 2000 model. Is it adviceable to convert the car to run on gas? If so, should it be fitted with CNG fittings or LPG fittings? What will be the economy achievable in each case?

Hi,
Hyundai Accent if fitted with LPG kit may give good overall performance and economy but there would be starting and pick up problems in long term usage.Hence recommended not to go for LPG kit.

even i hav an acsent 2000 model.recently converted it to cng.as converting it to lpg wouldnt have served the purpose of increasing efficiency.it use to give me an avg of 7 on petrol in city.now it gives me an avg of 18-20 per kg of cng.the pick up of the car is affected a bit,but its worth the compromise.fitting the cng kit should cost you around 35000..
