Maruti Alto is one of the finest car I have ever used. I used this car for six years without even a single breakdown and sold it in very working conditions. It is most fuel economic, easy to manouvere, good brakes and all other good features. I shall love to have car like this.

I strongly recommend to purchase this car. Good luck

Hi,
Maruti Alto LXI is a good option for its price, reliability and cheaper maintenance cost. Though the engine can be changed in near future, it wont affect resale value of Alto for its reliability. If you are not in urgent in buying car then it wont be disapinting to wait for sometime to get updated version.

IT IS GOOD THAT YOU ARE THINKING CAR FROM MARUTI STABLE, AND ALTO IS THE GEM.THE PRESENT ENGINE IS RUGGED AND PROVEN. I HAVE DRIVEN BOTH A STAR AND ESTILO WITH KB SERIES ENGINE AND I DO NOT SEE APPRECIABLE DIFFERENCE IN ENGINE PERFORMANCE. Mr SHIVSHANKAR HAS RIGHTLY SAID, RESALE VALUE WILL NOT GET AFFECTED BESIDES THE AIM OF ENGINE REPLACEMENT IS FOR EMISSION REASON. SO NOW DECIDE, ALL THE BEST

I was a prod owner of Alto Lxi for more than 6 years ...
Its un-doubtly the best car to purchase .. given the cost and all other factors ...
For me it was my first car and I must say who ever has driven that car only had praises ...
However Maruti had to upgrade all its cars in order to abide by the Euro -IV norms of carbon emission ...
so it has to upgrade all its car engine to K series ...
I would suggest u to go for A-star as it on the similar lines of performance as Alto and it has the k series engine ...
so u do not have to worry about Bharat IV or euro -IV ...in future ...
