Sir, I have booked for maruti swift Dzire(VXi). I heard that maruti is upgrading all its cars with K-series engine. I am staying in Delhi. In cities like Delhi, new emission norms will be implemented with effect from Apr 2010. Is there any plan to upgrade swift Dzire(VXi)with K-series engine in near future?

Hi,
Yes as Maruti Suzuki is upgrading each model one by one with new serices of engines, There are chances that Swift Dzire engine would also be upgraded with new one. The point here is as th enew emissionnorms will be effective fromApril 2010, buying before that wont affect usage of the car by any means.It is indeed a tougher decision to make. In overall recommended to go ahead with the already booked car if willing to own the car in very near future, if not in urgent then it will be wiser decision tobuy a Kseries engine fitted model.
