Cars Q&A

Hi, I have following queries. 1. What mileage should I expect from Zen LXI, Euro 2, 2003 model which is driven 50K? 2. What should be the right price to buy? It is fully loaded. I will be the third owner if I buy it. 3. Since it is a Euro 2 vehicle, can it cause problem like not allowed on Pune roads in future, since BS4 vehicles are now in the market and deadline for EURO 4 norms is april 2010? It is Pune registered vehicle. Regards, Prashant +91-9970313366

Expert`s comment:

With Zen LXI you can expect mileage of around 14KMPL average.2003 model canbe bought for maximum of 1.7 lac. There wont be problem with introduction of Bharath IV norms as it will be applicable for vehicles sold from april 1st onwards.

Answer to your queries:
1. Mileage should be in range of 14 to 16 kms per liter.

2.Considering III ownership & 2003 model, if in descent conditon, have not met any major accident range should be in 1.30 to 1.65 lakhs.

3. Check this with RTO PUNE.

My suggestion do not go in for Euro 2 series now .
There will be lot of options for second hand cars in market .
2003 is quite old now .
Otherwise if you ask Zen is a very nice car .
though Ihave sold it sometimes bak and bought Wagon R .

mileage: highway 18.18 kmpl without A/c
approx cost: for 2003 lxi 1.5 if the body repair is not done.
in lpg kit 10% lesser mileage.
