Hi,
There wont be any problem inmaintenance of the car as Renault is here to stay for long. Even if it brakes joint venture, there would be good enoguh supply of parts and service for the vehicle wont be affected.Recommended to go ahead with Logon.

I OWN A DIESEL LOGAN. CAR IS GOOD,MAIN PROBLEM IS WITH SUSPENSION. IT IS BAD. I THINK SUSPENSION IN BOTH THE VERSION IS SAME.

The car is good... Spare parts is not an issue... future will not be problem even if the partnership with mahindra breaks..... Renault is a big brand And it has other partners as will in India like bajaj & ashok leyland.... U cannot compare it with Daewoo..... that was alltogether a different case..... Renault alone is a cash rich company and will not make its customer suffer..

I do not feel that Spares and service will be a problem in case the joint venture with Mahindra collapses. Their Chairman has been on record during his recent visit to India that Renault and Nissan are in India for a long haul and they will bring all models as may be required for the market. The factory in Chennai with Nissan is coming up and will be commissioned in March 2010 and sooner than later Renault also will contribute to this project so that Renault cars will start rolling out. The marketing of these cars will be handled by Renault/Nissan as also the marketing of the Bajaj venture.I, therefore, do not see a problem with Renault providing for facilities for spares/service for the Logan in the long run. They are also trying their best to make a fresh start with their partnership with Mahindras to see if this can be made effective.
