Swift is a lighter car by almost 20 percent compared to punto. Punto is better in crash test. Swift gearbox is designed to give better acceleration and is not very suitable for city driving. Punto is exactly reverse. Pl. note pick-up will not improve noticiably after 1st service. Dealer will only change engine oil. By changine engine oil pick-up won't improve.Although the fuel economy may improve slightly due to reduction in friction. pl. note that punto is very good comfortable car with top speed more that 140kmph slightly less than swift.

Punto is decidely better vehicle than swift. It also has a better shape. Only problem is BRAND and AFTER SALE SERVICE. Maruti is far ahead in these areas as compared to FIAT.

I do not agree, swift is much more sproties in driving than punto..When you say it is lighter yest it is, but when u talk about crash tests then probably you should go in for Swift Zxi. Also, the highest speed clocked by me till now on a swift is 170 Kms/Hr. Do u think it is slightly more than what punto can achieve...???
I think its much more...Anyways...
yes the only thing that can be said is Swift has been around for loong and has proved it self...Punto is still to prove...Lets see...But as a product I would say swift is just wonder..
