OfCourse as you Say that 12K is nothing its just new... just check The Car Value at Maruti's True Value showroon..What Value they decide will be actual Cost of it. Don't go without proper checking.. IF Car is with a Broker then defenitly it has to be checked in all sense like meter tempering, Condition of Tyres, Engine Performance etc.. There will not be issue for next -6 yrs. for Esteem Car in INDIA... But after 50K small mtc. & then again & again will increase..

At first, you need to check how old the car is and then compare the kms it's done. Also check why Esteem is on sale just after 12K kms. Get the car checked by good mechanic, if above queries answered to your satisfaction. If these answers to these questions satisfy you then, it should be a good deal.

You didn't give complete details of the car and prise. Don't worry about service coz it will not be a major problem for u in future. Resale of Easeem is not so good so think this before u buy.

As it is a Maruthi you no need to worry, but remember odometer can be adjusted. If it is from a reliable person you can go ahead.

Answer by Panicker 11 November 2009

ya, there is no problem for esteem.the car is reliable and trouble free. pl check rubber parts, suspension sys , tyres and battery. u'll enjy. go for it.

It's a pleasure to drive. It's so light. Hardly any maintainance cost. I used an 800 before and as per my experience, Esteem's maintainance was cheaper because it had more lasting spare parts than an 800! Go for it!

Go for.. Its one of the best cars of India till date..

I owned an esteem for 5 years and 40000kms.... engine is first class and gave 10 mileage... though i don't own it anymore, I would say its one of the finest car which India had manufactured.

Though it has good resale value, when you change the ownership, it will become third hand and you will be paid less when you sell it again... I really mean it. Personally at this time, I would recommend you to go for a brand new vehicle.

If you really invest on a good car, go for Honda Jazz. I am a proud owner of it in chennai....

I also have an esteem 2005, Emgine is superb. Its a no trouble car. I have seen a lot of issues with other cars.

Only thing is that generally maruthi cars are less on build quality. Stuffs used inside like plastic etc are of low quality.
Also it will not give a very cozy ride, what other cars can offer.
on otherside you will have superb control on the car, which will make it safe.
Engine is very responsive and work in total control.
However 12000 is unbilievable for 4 yr old vehicle, if its true. Go for it...its a good buy.
My vehicle was evaluated 2,50 with old tyres and 5000 km

Answer by Mithun 11 November 2009

yes its a good vehicle at a competitive price. pls look for the rust prone body. else everything is serviceable and repairable ..
