Question
I have an Opel Astra G 2.0 diesel. Lately the car refuses to speed when full acceleration is applied. Could it be from the diesel pump?

Hi,
The problem can arise due to improper fuel supply, the Fuel injection calibration can help in this matter.

I am using Opel Astra with Petrol so I did not face such issues. But one of my friend , he is using opel astra with diesel and even I drove that car . So it make big difference running in petrol and running in diesel.I think it is becoz of your diesel pump. Please check with your local garage person.

Hi,
One important thing here it could be the issue with Idle Control Sensor. Idle control sensor takes of air going inside how much air is required. I had the same problem 1 month back. I had called up 1 guys and he bought his diagnostic computer and in the fuse box there is once big socket for diagnostics there you can check everything in your car. My car was not starting up so after scanning we came to know that the Idle control sensor was not working and please check the filter and air filter plugs. The main thing the Current distributor may be the reason from where all the 4 cable comes to Spark plug may be the current is leaking. it the currect is leaking becuase of cable or distribution coil black color lining one than also you will face the same problem.
