Pl scan the engine and ur problem can be identified immediately. It could be any sensor problem which could be identified by scanning only

To add onto the suggestions posted by the two gentlemen. It also could be a case of over heating pls check if your radiator coolin fan is working properly. It works in two speeds. Should the slow speed or high speed not work, on over heating the car gradually stalls to a stand still.If so u may need to change the relay.
The initial tic tic is your ac compressor getting on and off. Its there in my car too and thats why there is a lag in power when its on and vice versa.u can also check if your ac thermo cut off is working properly too.
Should you are servicing at pvs ford calicut, pls contact Mr Ravi, the service manager, tell him about me and he should help u sort your trouble. Pls bear in mind that this type of work is time consuming so book a day in advance and be prepared to put your vehicle for a day of two.Its better that way than have your car posing problems on the drive.
