Better you should look over PALIO.

Petra is noiceless, smooth riding car. But FIAT failed to retain its durability and missed to give good exposture with people by a finest advertised dept.
Not only petra Fiat has stopped its all previous segment (model) cars.

Now Fiat gives,
Palio STILE
Grand PUNTO
LINEA.

Yes,I believe it has been discontinued & you cant get a NEW one now. Not only PETRA, Fiat makes wonderful cars but apparently they are not very interested in marketing it in India.( See Palio Style or Punto or Linea which are feature packed cars at very reasonable prices )
You will have to go in for a second hand one. I have one Nov 2004 model black Fiat Petra (56,000 Kms)car for sale in excellent condition,noiseless &trouble free &fitted with RTO approved LPG kit,remote central locking etc.etc.If interested you may contact me at 09956390138 (Allahabad)

It is a fantastic car and sadly discontinued by FIAT.If you can find a good condition second hand PETRA just go for it.It is better than a lot of other cars in this segment.

Fiat Petra 1.6 ELX (Pertrol), Fiat Petra D 1.9 ELX (diesel) are best cars with unique features like, reading lamps, Setering adjustments, chilled A/C and safety wise its best.
It will have a milage of 12-13KMPL with A/C in City & 17-18 KMPL on Highway.Only one disadvantage is that Fiat had failed to gain Service trust from the coustomers
