Please get the car checked or better still inspected. There are companies that offer thorough multi-point inspections on Baleno and other cars. The Baleno is a very impressive piece of machinery and driving it is a real pleasure. It's a true blue driver's car and operates well in less than ideal conditions. I had a 2006 Baleno and have driven it through flooded streets and other hazards and the car never gave up on me.

On a side note, if you are into performance modifications, this is a dream car.

Baleno is an excellent car, however , it's very unlikely that a 2000 model ran only 55k. Pls get that cheked throughly by a good mechanic and if he says OK, you may go for the car bet 1.5 to 1.8L
