For your usuage, Petrol car is suitable, coz it saves maintenece charges.
SPARK is good, but NOT SPACIOUS.
My sugesstion to you is better you ESTILO.
Good look,More SPACE, NEW ENGINE and BEST RESALE VALUE.

Spark is very good vehicle for your budjet. I own a spark and I never felt like vehicle is not spacious. It is spacious compared to other cars. Especially the rear seat is comfortable with leg room.

Go to carwale.com on the net, check out variants in Spark & their respective prices and select the car acoording to your budget. Spark is a better car on the highways in comparison to Zen Estillo ( Estillo vibrates ). checkout with those using Estillo to decide.

1.style-cute look
2.space -very good space
3.brand- international prestigious brand
4.performance- comparative good in this segment
5.mileage- good 13-15km/l
6.interior- very good overall
7.comfort- very good
but, cons are-
1.poor dealer and service centre availabilty (not less important as u need it afterward most)
2.GM strategy not clear,dealers makes their own policy for discounts and freebee( varies very much and change frequently)
3.personally i observed that engine comparatively get hot very much, as smell felt when car is ON and stopped at RED light
u compare urself and decide.
ALTO have all good features mentioned above as for spark except brand and slight less spacious but good service availabilty, time tested, proved vehicle on indian roads.

Off course one should go for the Spark....Cute small car with all the desire features in competitive price. I am driving Spark since Oct 2007 & enjoying pleasure ride of the car. Having Good AC performance, better ride & handling, stylish look. Feel proud that I have a car which is belongs to World's Auto Giant of General Motors...Hope this things will lead U to choose the Spark...All the best

Selecting a car in this budget is tricky.I am happy with SPARK because of low cabin noise and good average.also becasue of the discounts i received in dec. 2009. Got twice in succession JD power award for build quality
