As per my advice not taken the zen estilo u taken swift or astar this two car is best for small car

The 3 cylinder engine is the advance technology from Maruti Suzuki. The zen estilo is very smooth & better pick up in this range. Very comfortable & it gives very good millage. U just take a test ride and u know that. This is latest K-series engine. It is totally different from another engine.

3 cylinder engines are weak especialy in LOWER RPM(800-1500)range.
They are not very smooth due to primary imbalance. No enthusiasist driver will ever buy a 3 cyl engine.
How ever they are more efficient as compared to 4 cyl.
There is no problem with top speed or max power but acceleration and drivability will be less.

Maruti 800 cars and Maruti Vans are running long time in 3 cylinders. Even though they worked very good with (fuel efficiency and performance wise). Now Estilo has KB Series engine and BHP & Torqes are more higher than the old 4 cylinder Estilo. However, don't compare with Swift and Dezire. Estilo can be campared with B segment cars like Santro, Spark , Alto, WagonR & Indica.

Maruti recently introduced A-star will be a reliable vehcile. The same engine is used for Estilo(3-Cylinders).
Since they are fixed with KB Series latest Bharat-IV norms,
it will be a good vehicle in no matter 3 Cylinder or 4 Cylinders. If you are going for a car race of-course you should choose high BHP/Torqe engines.

According to ur question u would like to buy the new car, but u r confusing between 4 & 3 Cylinder. The simple thing is depend on performance I have the 4 cylinder zen & also now 3 cylinder A-star. Acording to my experience the A-star has more power, pick-up, and more space than zen.which K-series engine available in Zen estilo. But acording to new model & style I suggest A-star will be best.
