Alto is no doubt very nice car. Family car, low maintenence, very good mileage, comfort, good resale, good performance, Local vehical. I am having Alto sonce Nov. 2007. You can buy it with closed eyes.

Yes, undoubtdly its a nice car as far as maintance bt. its not a pleasure to drive .

I bought an alto lxi in june 2009. I will not recommend it because of its very poor pulling power with AC on. I suggest you look at Spark (within budget) or extend your budget and go for Santro, Wagon R or Estilo. I also have a wagon R,the difference between 800 CC and 1000+ cc is worth spending the money. If you love driving, do not go for Alto. It is economy and only economy.

I also have the same opinion of Mr. Vipul. The pulling power is very bad. My suggestion is Spark which gives you both pulling power and mileage.

ALTO IS GREAT!in last five years it never gave any trouble.i sold it for 1.3 last month (2004 model)only to upgrade to FORD FIESTA...ALTO --VALUE FOR MONEY--UNMATCHED!!

I have the same since Jan.2005 and so far have only got the service done five times though it has done 45000 kms and apart from oil and filter, battery, some minor adjustment, no other expenditure and a very good average. But on CNG it a little more economical.
