Cars Q&A

Question
I have a Ford Ikon 1.6 zxi (petrol), 2003 model 40k run. I got it serviced at Bosch service near Cosmos mall 2 months back. Since then, when i start the car, the engine revs upto 2000 rpm, and then comes to normal after few minutes. Even when i press the clutch, to change to 2nd gear, the rpm rises till 1500 rpm. Is it normal? it didn't have that sort of problem before.

its because of the sensor problem. Pl get your car scanned from any of the dealers and get the detailed report. It may because of the slow speed regulation sensor failure.

hi,
thanks Shiva, and all others for the valuable suggestions. I am getting it checked at Bosch or Ford service center. Not sure abt the problem. i also would like to mention that, i had mentioned Bosch service in my question, which is incorrect from my side in this context. Problem could be anything which just surfaced up suddenly after the service. By the way, i had got some some good repair works done at Bosch, which has saved me from a some major expenditures...
Have got some good utilities from them also..
