Cars Q&A
Hi,
Yes the maintenance will be lot more easier with entry of Peugeot to India. However the date is not confirmed and we will provide details in news section as and when available.
Even if Peugeot comes back in India, obtaining service support and spares for the 309 will be difficult. This is a discontinued model everywhere in the world and even in its best years, it was very popular only in the UK. I have myself maintained 2 Peugeots (1991 309GLD and 1994 405GLD) here in India and I could keep these cars only because I had a very good, trusted expert mechanic. The spares are also quite expensive, as unlike imported Japanese cars, only OEM spares are available from dealers in Delhi and Bombay. These are good quality, but expensive. Having said everything, these cars are really good and work very well in our conditions. I have driven my 405GLD from Rajasthan to Kerala and back.
