My Tata Safari diesel is 1 year 3 months old - 6066

My Tata Safari diesel is 1 year 3 months old and run about 15500 kms. It is giving fuel consumtion od 8-9KM/L in city conditions..It has been serviced regularly at Tata Motors authorised Service centres,but they are unable to help here. I thought diesel engines give much better average than Petrol engines, however my WagoR used give me 13-14 kms/L in city. Can anyone suggest improvement/possible causes?

tata safari is heavy on fuel consumtion so u do wht ever it will never give u more than 8 / 9 .

No man i also own a tata safari but its gave me an average of 12km/ltr on highway and around 10km/ltr in city. i am fully sacisfied by the product.

safari has a heavy engine and body dats why its mileage is bit less. but as compared to all other comforts u get in it, it is quite fine average. the dicor engine give around 9km/ltr average. the earlier safari with turbo engine gives around 10.
