I have bought a 1994 Maruthi Gypsy, I want to convert it to a diesel engine or a CNG kit is advisable. Can any one help me out?

    It wont be a good idea in fitting diesel engine to Gypsy .You can fit a CNG kit with investment of around will be economical if used for long drives.

  • hi converting gypsy into desiel will not give u power & feel like petrol engine & one more thing u have to approve the desel engine with rto & this thing is not possible if ur in bombay desiel engine will give u feel like jeep rather than gypsy

  • Dear Satya,
    I hope you have chose a solid vehicle.If the purpose
    is off roading i would advise u to go for Gypsy king engine and gear
    .both the CNG and diesel engine reduces the performance of the
    jeep,but a good CNG kit is advisable which is very economical.
