Hi Siddharth-Your dilemma is understandable since both cars in more or less the same price bracket. To help your decision, what is important to understand is what is the purpose of buying your car. If you are single or have maximum 2-3 members in your family, enjoy driving, want a slick, rev happy vehicle that give you great handling, performance and is fun to drive - then buy the swift. However, if you need a family car for 4-5 members, decent fuel efficiency with average but not performance oriented driveability, fresh and light interiors, more headroom, an upright seating with better road visibility, a practical car for family needs - then buy the Ritz. Hope this helps answer your question. Honestly speaking, your monthly running would not be able help - unless of course you want to buy the diesel engined versions of both cars. Remember - the diesel engine is absolutely the same in the 2 cars.

Well with 1500+ kms per months go in for the deisel engine. Its is absolutely brilliant.
Swift has better performance (acceleration and feel wise) and slghtly more boot space too.
Ritz on the other hand has more headroom and better interiors but less features (no day night internal mirror either) but then there are a lot less Ritz on the road as compared to the swift so if u want a little more individuality and dont mind the less performance and boot space, then go in for the ritz
