The road tax in Bangalore is probably the hig - 5476

The road tax in Bangalore is probably the highest in India.Tamilnadu is a little less. Does it makesense to buy a vehicle from Tamilnadu and bring it to Bangalore?Or do we have to pay road tax again when we arrive here? Please advice.

You need not pay any road tax again, unless u opt to change it into karnataka registration. A NOC is enought frm TN. And yes the resale value will come down if u try to sell it in bangalore. instead sell it in TN itself..

Hi,
The road tax is mainly depends upon the policy of the govt. Even if you buy a car and convert it to Karnataka resistration you wil have to pay the road tax as prescribed by RTO.Considering overall expenditures and time, it will be better to buy a vehicle in the state where its primarily used.
