Hi Raj - the jazz is a hatchback and the city is a sedan. the price differential is also between 70k to 1.5lakhs. The jazz comes with a 1.2 vtec engine producing 90ps of power and the city comes with a 1.5 vtec engine producing 116 ps of power. If you have the money - then go for the city - it has a larger engine, more interior space, bigger boot, is definitely better looking and has the image and style of a bigger car. If you want to look at the jazz, then do consider other cars in the same price bracket - for the price of a hatchback from honda you can get many great sedans from companies like fiat, maruti, ford, hyundai, etc.

Does your question really need an answer:) City obvious, if money isnt a constraint. If money is a constraint, even then there are so many better options to go for in the sedan category. Whatever happens avoid Jazz...One Life... Why So Serious About It?

my wife drives a 2006 city, it is really good for city driving. it gives us 12-14 kmpl in city and on long distance drives, we usually get 18 kmpl. a great car for the money.

both cars r in different segments. if u want sedan then go for city. but if u want hatchback then go for ather brands available in market because of its price tag. i also booked jazz but after its launch i changed my mind. jazz is not only costly but it does not gives the driving pleasure. my advice is to go for either fiat punto/hyundai i20 etc.

Since the price is very high for Hatchback-Jazz, why don't you buy Sedan-City even if you pay 1-Lakh more. If Honda would give Jazz within the range of 6-Lakhs (like Fiat Punto)it is worth otherwise it is a waste.
