Hi,
The Spark LPG is a good value for money. The mileage youcan expect with LPG is around 13KMPL.even if so the mileage is quite good considering cost per liter /KG of LPG compared to that of Petrol.

Dear Shushil,
Keep in mind that mileage of LPG is almost 25% less than that of a petrol driven car where as cost of LPG is 40% less than that of Petrol.

Purchase of LPG vehicle or additional fitment of LPG kit is only suggested if you have a running of over 1000km per month only then you can recover addition exp on LPG kit approx 15K-25K with in 3 yrs.
If your running is around or less than 500km per month it is suggested to carry with petrol vehicle which will also increase your resale value at the time of sale of vehicle after 3 yrs appox. Difference in selling price may even vary upto 20% due to fitment of LPG kit even if vehicle has not cloked high milage.

Personally, I have never been in favor of LPG powered cars, as I feel unsafe; regardless of the fact that the factory fitted kits etc are tested and certified. I know the running costs of LPG is much lesser. I agree with Mr Khatawkar and suggest that go for the LPG only if your running is more than 1000km a month. Resale value will also go down with LPG.

chevrolette SPARK is one of the best in the segment. If you have already made up your mind for SPARK and options of Petrol or LPG are open to you, keep in mind the boot space also, which is already on the lower side and becomes too cramped with LPG. The other factor you should see is usage. If your usage is below 1000 km per month then Petrol is advisable (please go through the article on fuel type comparison by Mr. Shiva- Cartrade.COM).
In case you opt for Petrol , more variants are available and approximately, for the price or LPG LS model you get LT petrol model. Please check with the dealership for more details.
