In Punto there is Fuel cutt off technology,what happns if a minor accident cut offs the fuel supply.Can the engine b re-started or need to be taken to a mechanic?

It has to be attended by mechanic for restarting. if brokedown due to external damage.

Dear Avinash,

This technology is so built in the Fiat that it cuts off the fuel supply to the engine to stop combustion and fires, only in case of major crashes/ head on bangs/ external damage. Pl do not get worked up on account of minor accidents. The fuel supply remains intact in case of minor accidents. Punto is a wonderful car. Go ahead. hi. this is not a new tech incorporated by fiat. in fact the ford has been having it for a while now. in fact most of the petrol clan sedans have a fuel cut-off mech. in their cars. this will not trigger off on small impacts & like anand rightly says , don't get worked up about it & enjoy the car. its good.
