Hi,
The best selection would be a Grand Punto or a Vista.Among the two though Vista is good in performance,Punto makes a better selection for its body style, sturdy built and good mileage.

If u realy need to go for Diesel car, then the best option right now is Indica Vista. U can choose aqua/aura depending on ur needs and also the engine can be chosen from quadrajet/tdi. It comes with all latest features and u can get Aqua tdi for 4,05,000 on road price with 20kmpl mileage and more legroom, boot space, front fog lights, central locking, power windows, tubeless tyres, rear defrogger, bigger glove box, mobile charger, ciggi lighter, etc... Its better than swift which costs 70-80k more and the engine is same, supplied to both by fiat. the driving experince is d coolest one...

if u r opting for sedan then Indigo CS diesel version will be best suitable.with great interiors and space its available for just 4,80,000...meet a tata dealer or compare the cars online on cartrade.com or carwale.com or autos.bixee.com or just google it....

Thanks a lot Shiva, Manne and Ojal for the valuable suggestions.

@ Shiva,
Grande Punto,is a new vehicle, i am worried about the Fuel economy, as i said most of driving will stick to City traffic, does Punto deliver me at least 13-15 kmpl?
and what about after sales service? can we rely on Tata servicing network to deliver better service?

And also a big question, vista is a Tata product, so how Tata is going to handle both Vista and Punto sales, do u think will Tata play a fair game with Punto?

@ Manne,
Well personally i am not interested with the Alto vehicle, as i feel it doesn't give me the pleasure of driving a car.

@ Ojal,
As i mentioned earlier my usage will be less than 500 km per month, so i dont think so it would be wise to go for diesel vehicles.

As coming to make a choice between Vista Petrol and Punto Petrol, kindly advice me which is the best value for money
