Hi,
Wwagon R duo is a good option for a multi fuel vehicle. The performance is good and no much problems in handling.disadvantage is no much luggage space, rear seat not comfortable for three passengers.

Answer by Shiva Shankar 07 July 2009

As such all gas vehicles are safe on highway provided that you fitted kit from authorised service station. Wangon R shakes on highway bcoz of its shape. Even petrol wagon R & maruti van shakes. Dont go above 80km/ph.

Hi,
Don't go for Wagon-R as it is very crampy with very less leg space, uncomfort rear sets, and no luggage room. Santro is a better car comparing with road grip with more space.

Wagon R shakes because of its height. Zen Estillo is a better car for a small family. It has more driving comfort than the wagon R. Though Wagon R claims better consumption Zen is in fact better than wagon R, It has a better road grip and more luggage room, and not leg room.

YAAR MUJE TO BAHOT DAR LAGA JAB MAIN WAGON-R DUO CHALAYA! B.COZ OF ITS DESIGN, AAP 80KMPH KE UPAR SAFELY NAHI CHALA SAKTE, USKE UPAR GADI GIRNEKA DAR LAGATA HAI! PLEASE THINK TWICE THEN BUY! BUT CAR IS GOOD FOR 6 FIT HEIGHT PEOPLE!

Wagon R is pretty safe on highways. I have one that I was it since last 4 years and have driven multiple long trips that took more than 1000 Kms in a single stretch. I have never observed vibration till 120 KM/h, but above that it swings and you will feel vibration on the steering wheel. I feel it is just a perception that WangonR is not a safe car at highways. Luggage space, I would say, is better than Santro, and the older versions comes with a split rear seat, where you can fold one rear seat and put in more luggage. Even if you look at accident rate, WagonR wins over Santro.

Both WagonR & Santro are good options in city or Highway,
Yes WagonR bubbles above 100 kmph, as it is based on Tall body Concept as compaired to Santro. The LPG kit fitted with Authorised / Compamy is quite safe, But not 100% safe.
As i own both WagonR lxi & Alto lxi , Alto is more stable on highway & a good milage too because of lesser CC. After all choice is yours. I am good impressed by after sales service on MARUTI SUZUKI which i think is very important after you purchase a Vehicle

Hi, Its a myth. One line answer is - All vehicles are good among the list you have. Dont bother for the design aspect of any of the vehicle as companies are more bothered for the success / failure of the product and only after having a rigorous testing and ensuring the robustness the product is launched in the market. If Maruti would have neglected the fact that it is unstable ahad of 80KMH then the product wouldnt have been there in the market. Secondly, there is no relation of aerodynamic forces acting on the vehicle as well as CG of the vehicle. Basically psychological disorders invent these reasonings.

Now going back to the question - If the usage is in the range of 12 K and ahead of that for a month, if you have constraints in managing the budget and cant afford it to deviate in the range of 800 to 1800 Rs. then go ahead with Alto rest both WagonR and Santro are good options.

Bro,

I have driven Maruti WagonR at a speed of 120 KMPH, trust me there is no problem with this vehicle. Moreover, if you buy Santro or some other vehicle, you will get less milage than WagonR. When it comes to space, Santo definately has more leg space than WagonR, but when it comes to milage WagonR is the best in the Market. WagonR Duo is a Sucessful LPG vehicle that i have ever heard off from people, whereas Santo LPG & CNG not much preferred in Market.

If you look out for Secondhand cars, you can get a Santro for 1.5L but WagonR for 2L, which tells you the difference. Nothing against Santro or any other vehicle, but if you want to buy something buy the best in the market.

Please write back to me, if you agree on this.........

Hi Sushil,

I feel WagonR is a good vehicle so far. I have drive it upto 130km/h on express way but didn't feel any shaking problem. I don't have experience about Santro/Alto.

I have more than 25 Cars, including wagon R i agree that luggage space is less and rear comfort is not so gud but remember onething Maruti is indian make and made according to indians and it is wrong that wagon r can be unsafe on highway i have touched 140+ speed with it and i am still alive

I did 160+ plus on my 2011 k10 waggie duo. Wanted to chk how far it will go in lpg. It handled well. But do upgrade the tyres my tyres are 165/70R13 on plati

Answer by Sunil 10 October 2016

I am using Wagon R LPG DUO vehicle since 8 years and i am very happy with this model. My advice is to change the tyres with 155R, to most extend it will not shake on highways. I easily touched 130 to 140 on highways many times. I frequently take it on highways. Otherwise in city conditions this is the best car I would say.
