The lower end versions of Alto and Spark should be within your budget. While SPARK is a better vehicle, I recommend you to go for Alto, which has a better resale value. Spark, certainly will make problem during selling - you may not be able to give it out happily.

Dear after a deep survey i have got the output that only Alto LXI is the best suitable car in this budget.currently 14000 Rs discount has offered by the dealers. landing will be in b/w 2.8 to 2.9. go ahead with alto.

Alto is the best option. LXI version (comes with power steering). best mileage, maruti reliability, low cost of ownership.

i am really laughing after reading sanjeev,chora and benny, this is really foolish u asked for a better choice and they r suggesting for alto????, no driving pleasure in it, very poor space inside, safety wise a really tin ka dabba and as far as my thinking if u r buying a car thn u will drive on d road not gonna pay for showpiece..so safety,driving pleasure, interiors and space inside is few basic priorities and its really foolish they r suggesting alto coz of resale? my friend u r going to buy a vehicle dont think abt resale at this moment,now GM is ready to buy his own vehicle so resale will be better..i can bet, so spark is d best option for u..go for it......am sure u will enjoy d ride.

dear u have valuable 3laks, so spend with full senses,my advise u most go for alto, if u can spend 30-40thousend more then u must go for A-star b,coz., A-star is a car of new generation with K- series engine, which have batter fuel efficient then SPARK OR ALTO, heaving big space and sexy interiors. IF u wana spend only with in three lacks then u must go for ALTO.ALTO will return u full value of ur money
but remeber Maruti now replaceing old ALto WITH A_star ALTO
