hi....vikas u r buying new car so that's u r decision.....i am inform u maruti segmant car is better than other ..i am chossing esteem this car is good looking,bigger space,good mileage,and new segmant car ......

Esteem is no longer in production. You can only buy pre-owned model. Mahindra Logan is definitly a better car to run and maintain.

Please note at the outset that the Esteem is not currently being produced and is available only as a preowned car.I do not know whether you would prefer to buy a preowned car. If you are looking to invest in a new showroom car, of the two cars available(Tata Indigo and Logan), I would prefer to recommend Logan, since it is a larger car, with a very comfortable back bench and very large boot.In temrs of fuel efficiency,both, petrol(1.4 lt) and diesel(1.6 lt) versions are more fuel efficient.The downside, if it can be called that, is (a)resale value-not yet established since only about 30000 cars are on Indian roads and(b) service outlets as compared to Tata outlets are few. However, Logan is a trouble free , value for money car.

My vote for space and comfort will always be with Logan, including maintenance cost. Only being a 1.4 / 1.6 engine the mileage will be 9-10 in city and 12-13 in highway.

In fact i sold mine 6 months back when i relocated will be buying a new one again...i have looked at all cars and dont seem to like any post the logan.

My opinion is in line with Mr. Pradeep Jauhar as I am getting good milage i.e. @15-16 kmpl on highways and feels comfertable journey. So Logan is best option either new or Pre-owned car.

I WOULD PREFER LOGAN COZ ITS HAS GOT LOTS OF SPACE N HAS GOT AN INCREDIBLE MILEAGE.. I HAVE 1.5 DLS GIVES 18KMPLAVG IN HIGHWAYS N 15KMPL TO 16KMPL IN CITY.. IT DEPENDS HOW U DRIVE N USE D VEHICLE..

I enjoy driving Logan, Sometime I get confused "Engine is running or Not" . Most comfort, with lot of space, Present technology. Good service, as there is no waiting required.
Esteem may be good car but out dated. Go with the present technology. Enjoy Logan drive and go for that.

Is Maruti Suzuki Esteem available in diesel version in case of pre owned car.
