This is in reply to the above e-mail forwarded by my brother Sethuram. I have not owned a BMW car so far, but my brothers and I own 4 BMW motorcycles, nevertheless having read about them extensively, perhaps I may be of some help.BMWs make fantastic cars, very good engines, excellent chassis, suspension and body. They are a driver's car and handle very well at the cost of a comfortable ride.Parts and service may be a problem.

The Mercedes E220D is from W124 series, the W124 family are considered one of best cars made by MB, over engineered, bulletproof build, superb suspension, easy availability and reasonably priced parts (for an MB), limited electronics, easily servicable as there are many garages that are competent in taking care of these cars.Handles very well and gives a comfortable ride. These cars are big garage space and parking is a bit of a problem.

Hi,I am presently owning a Merc E220CDI and find it very cheap maintaining it rather than a BMW.Although BMW gives u a superb driving experience,they r very expensive in getting maintained.So I request u to opt for a Mercedes Benz E220 CDI....
