Hi,
For the usage requirments mentioned, Toyota Altis will be better .But for both Altis and Civic onroad price is more than 12 lac. Recommended to test drive Honda New City.

Go for TOYOTA ALTIS if you are talking about CIVIC you can consider but not honda city.
But still Toyoto is no.1 will give you value for money.

Are you sure it's 9-10 Km/Month and not per year? If you indeed drive so much, I would recommend buying a diesel car, if not, go for the Honda City. Also not sure if the Altis can come in 10-11 Lakhs, but if it does, go for it. Do consider the Hyundai Verna Diesel as well, I believe it's about 9 Lakhs for the top end diesel version and is a great car.

i tink you should buy Alties as it is made for this kind only thing is if you are willing to pay that extra bugs required otherwise go for Scorpio as wel as it will give you more style and space as well.

Hi,
For you Honda Jazz is better if you like hatchback cars.
This car is designed for Indian Road.

Answer by Suresh 06 June 2009

Hi Mehool,

You have asked about a comparison between two models , one manual, the other automatic! It all depends upon your adaptability and comfort with both Manual/ Automatic a drive.

Its better to drive a manual in jam packed roads like the ones in Mumbai as automatic transmissions havent fully proved to be so conducive to such slow drives. The gearbox reciprocation, engine response and maintenance/ wear n tear issue is better with a manual than automatic.

One question is are you not comfortable driving diesel? The Octavia or the Laura from the Skoda family would definitely prove to be a much better bet. Be it the drive, performance, suspensions, comfort , running cost, extreme stability at high speeds, Solid build of the car and safety standards, the Skoda beats the motor spirit vehicles.

Since you have only four members in your family , the Skoda family can be trusted.

Do test drive before taking a decision, though.

Anand
