Hi,
If you go for used car, you will have lot of options. In that used Aalto will make a optimum selection for its utility and reliability.

If i were you, i would buy any Maruti model from their True value section and drive it around till i am extremely professional about driving. When you are learning, you are bound to hit the car occasionally and you would not have that much of heartache since its a used car.

go for A-star... best in mileage and economy and its a maruti product so reliability and economy would not be an issue.

In most cities in india, to avoid minor hits and skirmishes on the road is not possible. Old or new car - u will get scratches and minor bumps. I personally dont buy anything second hand - so its more of a mind set whether to buy new or used. In your price range used car options would be a lot right from second hand honda city's to ford fiesta's to scorpios'. If you feel that you are low on confidence buy second hand (therefore more scratches on used car wont hurt more). Look at the websites and go to a mahindra first choice outlet (Since it is multibrand, you can see all options in your price range). Wish you a safe drive!!!
