Go for 2004 xing XP model with power stearing option within 1.5 lakhs. dont spend much for this car -- use it for 2-3 years and drop it, loss is minimum. then think big -- N'joy

Ajay,Good to hear that you are buying Santro Xing. I would recommend you to go for a new car rather than a used car (even though you buy from a reliable person or dealer)
Reasons : 1. You are sure that the car is new and it has warranty for all the parts.
2. Insurance premium would be less for a new car
3. You are the first owner of the car.Even if you sell it after few years, you can sell it at a price which you can afford
4. Maintainence free for first 2 years (except the regular oil and filter replacement)

Still if you are interested in going for a used car, here are some points which you need to take care before buying it
1.Check for the total kms run (Average/ year is 10,000 Kms)
2. Place in which the car was driven (This is important to know about the wear n tear of the car tyre, suspension)
3. Approximate cost of the repair (Take from Hyundai only)
4. Check for the condition of 5 tyres & tool kit
5. Take the help of a tinkering expert who can check if the car had gone for any tinkering work
6.See if the yearly insurance premium is paid or on before the due date
7. Do not buy cars which ran for any travels.

Even I am planning to upgrade my car. If you are interested, then you can contact me at 9940045619.

Good Luck
