I recently came from Baroda to Jaipur (874km) in 11.5 hours in a Palio SDX Multijet. This trip was on the 29th of April, which is hot season in Gujarat and Rajasthan. The temperature gauge never reached the halfway mark throughout the trip. It was hovering just above the quarter mark. We were averaging 100 kmph with occasional 120 kmph stretches and we had the AC on all the time. The Palio is a sturdy and safe car for the highway. My only problem was that the driver's seat seemed a bit low for me and therefore the steering seemed high and over long distances, the elbows ache a bit. However, this problem in not there in the 2003 Palio 1.9D that I am driving around these days.
