Dear Sanjay, FIAT is a world leader in diesel engine technology, the 1.3 diesel engine is the best in its class in the world today. Infact it is so much better that almost all other manufacturers in Europe buy 1.3 litre engine from FIAT (same with maruti in india). Linea is a fantastic car & how good it is for one to see. Its very spacious (cabin & Boot), excellent features (not availble in cars in its price range) and looks are truely awesome. The power delivery is smooth, ride is amazing and the car absorbs the uneven road extremely well. I have bought a Linea Top end model in April and enjoy it every bit.

its a very decent looking car with a very refined engine....

please take a test drive of both....
the petrol wat i feel is under powered...
the diesel is a bit more torqueir to drive....

but in both u will feel a little absence of power...
if u r ok with a slight sacrifice in power... its an excellent car... in all other aspects
