Personally speaking I do not trust a GM Diesel Engine. There is nothing wrong but its a personal choice. Plus you would get the Elantra at half the price of a Magnum,

Hi Josh,

I totally disagree with you, I don't think you have driven the magnum diesel. It is an amazing car with a stonking performance. My friend owns one and I have driven it relentlessly in the city on the mumbai pune expressway and I would say it is FUN to drive.

It goes like a rocket and it surely does not sound like a diesel, anyone can miss it out as a petrol car.
