Cars Q&A

Question
I have a new Chevrolet Spark LT and would like to get it underbody paint. Dealers say 3M is approved by GM whereas private service providers give a "Wurth High Build UnderBody UnderSeal" solution for half the price with 5 years touch up insoection/ warranty as against dealers 3 years inspectin/ warranty. Please advise as to which solution is better and cost effective.

well cost wise the wurth high build underbody underseal is better after all its u who is going to pay the amount better option is 3M as they r the leaders in all.also try it in outside market as the GM dealers charge as per MRP & as per their service manual book whereas u can get it at discounted price outside

TThere is nothing wrong ingoing for WURTH .it would also give proper proection .GM only recommends 3M but WURTH is also a rcognised and approved manufacturer hence you cango for WURTH.

I guess 3M is a good option and see if you can get it at a good price outside. The dealers do tend to cost more, since they will not offer any discounts. But please do check that doing anything does not void the warranty. GM is offering the free service pack with the Spark and I am sure the dealers will try to find any mistakes on the customer's part that may void the warranty, so that they can charge for it. After all, the dealer also has to make money, no?
