Sir I am a young soilder from Indian Army and I have decided to purchase a small car among Maruti A- Star, Maruti Alto or Hundai Santro X-ing. Which one is better? Please guide me. Jai Hind.

Close your eyes and go for Alto. It is proven model and it can be serviced every nook and corner of India where even a cup of tea is not available in that area.
Second best is Santro but I prefer Maruti Alto.
A star has just come and we have to wait for all its teething problems to be solved.Jai Hind.

Alto will be a good option for its availability at cheaper price, lower maintenance costs and great service backup.If Budget range is above 4.0 lac then Astar would be better option. Jai Hind

I would recommend A -star as it is fresh in the market, reasonably well designed with ABS optional. Of course ALTO is a proven model but the comfort you get in ALTO is not really great but the fuel efficiency and cost of the spare parts are impeccably rated..Defnitley not a Santro becuase it is a vanising model..So in a nutshel if u wann enjoy style and freshness i would suggest A star or Economy- ALTO

Maruti A-Star is very good car. Competitive prices with much more leg room and very spacious. Good mileage and looks attractive than other two options.

from ur list the santro is the best option as the astar and the alto are horrendously cramped cars and extreamly uncomfortable.apart from ur list why don't u give the i10 a shot as it is the best small car in it's price range today.

I suggest go for the Alto. I have a VXi 1.1L version circa 2001. I have done 65000Ks so far. The only extra expenditure was the Stereo, Seat Covers till date over and above the normal service, oil change etc. I have done a gruelling 2000 KM drive from Delhi to Vishakapatnam in 2 days in the monsoon crossing over 700 KM of unlaid roads, 3 over flowing rivers and the car returned 17KMPL with heater/aircon on. Sudesh - Go For The Alto buddy.

I would recommend either the Alto or the A-Star. If you could wait then you get to see Maruti's new car Ritz which is likely to be launched this month. Personnaly I am looking for Alto VXi 1.1 as it is a fun car with a good power to weight Ratio which would take most of the big cars in a quarter mile dash.

i think you should go for A-star. It is a very good car, looks are new and mileage is top of the class.and it is backed by maruti support. A-Star is the best car in its class.

i'd suggest u to go for santro which comes between the range of alto and a-star.alto has got a very old style.a-star is good in mileage but according to performance we have to wait for some days .santro has a very deccent look,style and good performance.so santro will be a better option..i.e. santro-first car first choice
