Mr. Sunil, Watch IPL 20-20, give me that money which you kept aside for the modifications.

cielo require minimum 1500cc.engine to run smoothly.if you are looking for low runing cost please go to Nissan cd-17 or cd-20(diesel) engine, both are suitable for cielo and give 18kmpl.with cielo.

Many RTOs have declared the modification from petrol to diesel as illegal due to emission issues. Old/discarded Nissan and Toyota/Daihatsu diesels were used for the mods which polluted a lot. Check with your local RTO if the mods are allowed and try to find a used Swift D or Indica Turbo engine. They are much cleaner.

Converting to CNG/LPG will be much easier and worth every penny. Will sae a lot of hassle and money too.

cielo has 1,500cc engine also its body weight and tyres are heavy if you fit an 800cc engine it will not deliver the power to run that big vehicle, if you are intrested in fitting petol engine go for accent engine or city engine which will cost you about 50 to 70k if you ar looking for diesel engine go for isuzu vikrant engine with few alterations your cielo will run amazingly

The best option for a Cielo is a Nissan CD20T, which is a diesel engine displacing 2000cc and putting out 90bhp. Can haul the car well and also has enough low end torque to not needing a gear change every now and then.
Check with your RTO if conversion can be done legally.

Its like you want to fit a monkeys heart in an elephant or like you want a scooter engine to drive a Maruti 800. its any body's guess that such stuff cant work whether you use common sense or reason it out technically.

Would be better to go in for a CNG/LPG conversion kit.LPG would be a better option as the pick up and running would be better.

Better you fit Toyata desiel engine that will give near 20 KMPL , it will cost only around 20- 25 thousand only.

The engine is available in Pudhupet(Chennai)

Keep it up your sprit try to fit M800 engine in a cycle it will work good.

you can put a toyota 1N turbo diesel engine is good for smooth riding in cielo it is 1500 cc which is enough for cielo

sir u can do it, but it will run like maruti only or slower than that

it is very clear that you dont have the sense of swaping, it seems just like using a scooter engine to drive maruti

sir which engine disel is better to fit for cielo..which would give good perfomance.

one of my uncle ,have an old cielo with lpg kit . he buy it at Rs.30000,and its audometer readings is 50000km . it gives a mileage of 10km/lit while running on lpg.and the running cost is very much less as compared to M-800(petrol).it is very efficient than using mahindra scorpio.
