Hello, I want to purchase used car within price range of 1-1.5 Lacs. Which one is the best option? Shall I go for Santro/ Zen or for little bit older Esteem... I heard that there is problem with availability of spare parts of Esteem... Is it true??

Availability of spares is not a problem for Esteem .Its a good option in the budget range mentioned.

Maruti has discontinued poduction of both Zen and Maruti. Parts are freely available and I am not facing any problem. The Maruti service network has far greater reach and depth. It cannot be said of Santro. They have only a limited service network.

If interested, I have a Maruti Esteem for sale. It is driven by my wife and has covered only 55000 kms. This belongs to the first batch of Esteems released by Maruti.

I concur with Anandan, Maruti Esteem is a good car and there should not be any problem in getting spares or service till 2016/17 and every manufaturer is obliged to service and spare till at least 10 year of discontinuation. I have an Esteem as well, if you're interested.
