I would recommend a LPG fitment rather than CNG. LPG kit should cost you around 25k. go for a BRC one. Ensure that whoever fits the kit gets it approved by RTO and the same is endorsed on your RC.

Just to add, generally you would get 10% less mileage and 15% less power with LPG or CNG. But with the kind of cost reduction, it is worth fitting LPG for those who have higher running.

you should go for cng kit. the kit will cost approx rs. 30k to 40k. on an average cng gives the average of re 1 with ac and in 12kg cyliner normally it fill approx rs. 160-170 cng. if your car is under warranty then contact your dealer for the kit then you will get the warranty also

Hello Himanshu, CNG will be best option for Alto.Averrage cost for CNG will be less than Paise 80 per K.M on highway and less than Rs.1.00 in city. Where as LPG you will get averrage more than Rs.4.00 per K.M.The price of new CNG kit with 14 K.G. Cylinder will be Rs.40000+. Where as LPG kit you will get in Rs.15000 to 17000.Once you full your cylinder your car will run approx. 200 K.M. because complet gas can not be used only 3/4 part to be used. I have sold my car on last month having removed it's CNG kit because I was not getting proper Price of it. Now I want to sell it in Rs.22000. Kit is of famous company named Landy Renzo with Big 14 KG cylinder and with all accsessories like electronic switch etc.If you are staying at Bombay or near by and decided to buy Alto or any model after March 2000.It will be wonderful option for you.Cylinder and kit is approved by RTO Mumbai and relevent Authorities.If you are interested in buying pls mail me on coolgui51@yahoo.com
