i think astar will be a great car for you its new, good engine and its fresh. go for it and in mileage in beats the rest of the cars.

I would suggest you 2 go in 4 d spark as it is economical,much powerful than the alto and looks cute.
If you wish to go in for the Zen estilo, then you may opt for The A-star as it offers aapx.60+ h.p with a 1 litre engine and looks good,perhaps it has a refreshing design.

You could go in 4 The i10(1.1L) compared to the A-star for hyundai has better build quality.

Go with Maruti Suzuki. I will not advice GM in India. You will not get that quality of service which Maruti provide. As this car will be for ur wife I would advice do not experiment with GM.
