Dear Navin,

Looks like you have the xeta version. I have the Indica V2 pertol (LGI 1.4L)2005 model. I always get a mileage of atleast 12 with AC. The fact that you have alloy wheels should actually increase your mileage as alloys are lighter. Please have it checked immediatly and also check your mileage on full tank. This gives you the closest estimate.

Answer by Rohit 03 March 2009

get checked ur alloy wheel size, if they are bigger than the recommended size u'll get a low mileage, in that case replace it with standard tires.

Answer by Amit 03 March 2009

Dear Naveen the only reason is that initial speed(standing) is very high so reduce that speed.

Hi,

Tata indica's average in city is very poor but at highway it is around 20KMPL. it is not exact because of tube less tyre.

Hi,
The problem could be in Fuel pump . Useage of tubeless tyre wont matter much for decrease in fuel efficiency.

Answer by Shiva Shankar 03 March 2009

Dear Navin
As Tata Indica is a 1400cc car, you can not expect more than 9km pl . At least I never got

more than 9 km pl . But if you switch off the engine at traffic signals & drive at 60km/hr,

you may get more milage.
