Cars Q&A

I am planning to buy a used Maruti Suzuki Versa. I also understand that production of this vehicle is stopped due to poor sales. WIll getting spares be a problem for this vehicle in future? Is it also true that spares are expensive unlike other Maruti cars? Any other suggestions / advice that you could give regarding this is most welcome. Thanks..

  • Expert Hi,
Certainly Versa is not a great option but still worth buying if available at cheaper price. Getting spares will not be a problem as service back up of Maruti is quite good .there is no much of difference in spares cost of Versa with that of other models.Considering the space and comfort you are looking for in a versa , We suggest you to try with used Mahindra Bolero .

  • Bolero is bulky and the clutch very hard and cannot match the advantages of Versa such as compactness yet roomy, Turning circle,Parking ease, and comfort of getting in and out. Versa maintanace is cheper due to Petrol fuel compared to Bolero which runs on Diesel. Its wrong to compare Bolero with Versa coz the applicable usage are way diferent.Instead you can settle for M-Omni (W/o AC).Versa is better utility & comfort.
