Expert`s comment:

Installation of LPG kit can be done with budget of 20k and it will be safe and economical . Though factory fitted Kit is more safer because of proper arrangement .There are not much of problems reported from gas fittings like Lavato ,etc. Hence you can go for a used car and get LPG kit for the same.

hii..i dont think running a car on lpg is safe at all..the best and economical choice would be to buy a used wagon r as u cant fit a cng kit on a new must be atleast an year buy a used and good condition wagon r..doesnt mater duo or normal..and get a cng gas kit in it..that would be the most appropriate , best , and economical d best

Sanjay Hi,
I would suggest do not try out any expirements with a used car. If a gas kit was an option suzuki would have made it available at that time with their cars. They are ready now and well researched and hence have the DUO available. If you plan to fit a kit on a second hand do so but probably if you have an idea to sell the car within a 1 1/2 year or 2 years, if you plan to keep the car for a long long time like 3 to 4 yrs suggest to pick up a new one.

Better you go for a new duo , it has satisfactory track record and you will be in good mental state when you have a confidence of company fitted kit

If u want to drive in Very limited towns where CNG is available then go for it otherwise LPG is better . no harm at all in getting it fitted in used car . Remember , LpG reduces pik up by 2 percent whereas Cng by 8 percent. Cng is better for commmercial vehicles which run at least 70km per day. It does have negative impact on engine in the long run whereas Lpg is as good as petrol, but dont think u save money using it unless u use subsidised Lpg cooking gas cylinder filled into ur legally fitted kit. Risky ? of course!
