Cars Q&A

After a long search and decided between new or a old car. I have decided to buy the new fiat palio diesel. I am happy with every thing but there is one question in my mind. Is there a lot of maintains required in a diesel car. Have times changed I have been told that the new CRDI engine is very good and requires very less maintains if you service the car regularly. Is it true and why are CRDI so good.
