Expert`s comment:

If you buy an 2008 manufactured car even then Registration will be done for 2009. Warranty will commence from date of sale . hence you can go ahead with 2008 model if Waiting period for 2009 model is quite long ( The specifications and accessories will not change).Best alternative (if willing ) should be a Honda Civic.

hi , as such there should be no problem in getting a 2008 model car , as the warranty starts from the date of sale. but don't forget that when you want to sell your car , it will be counted as 2008 model & not 2009. you may end up losing some money in this issue. instead , you can negotiate with the dealer on the price to off-set on the resale value. the dealer can be squeezed to upto 5-6% on the value of the car.

definitely dont go for 2008 model, it will cost u resale value by 15%. And, if u are comfortabe with Honda then surely go for New Honda City, Civic or Accord as per ur affordibilty.
