My suggestion is for you that don't go for costly car if you are beginner and buying car for learning purpose.I have good trouble free car for you that is Maruti-800, model Nov.1996, with a/c and radio/cassate player.I drive this car only on week end or on holidays so driven K.M.is very less than 36000.And you will get it bellow Rs.50000.So think and if interested call me on 9969342979.

Hello Arundhati,

I second Prakash a bit, as you are a beginner M800 will be a good option. Considering the investment you can get a M800 cheaper than a Santro. But you also say you want to retain the car for a long term of 6 years, in which case a Santro would be a good option than 800 if you look for comfort and space. Certainly a Sedan will be costlier to maintain if you frequently damage the car.

Please let me know which city are you in, so that the price can be suggested.
