I am having 1.6 version 2000model & it is giving 12/13 kmpl. So 1.3 should give atleast 13/14. 8 is too low. Check the condition and go for it without any fear.

Please don't go for any Ford, especially if it is second hand. Ford cars are built cheap and are full of trouble of all sorts after just a few years. Put on the AC and the Ford Ikon loses about 40% power on the wheels. Buy a Mitsubishi or Honda or atleast a Maruti Baleno or something like that - solid, reliable and will last you longer without pinching your wallet all the time with irritating problems.
