  • Expert If looking for cheaper and efficient diesel car ,Tata Indica or Indigo is best bet.Indica Vista has refined engine and there is improvement in comfort. Comparing with Swift for which waiting period is more , you will be saving Nearly 1.0Lac.Swift no doubt is a good car still New Indica is worth considering.

  • If you are looking for a diesel hatchback then the Palio/Swift have the best diesel engine.both cars have a fiat multijet diesel. And if u are looking at a sedan then the fiesta diesel or the verna diesel have good engines.the fiesta is more fuel efficient and the verna is more powerful while delivering slightly less fuel economy then the fiesta.please stay away from indica/indigo at all costs..

  • I would say the fight is between Indica Vista quadrajet and Swift diesel..however the vista wins by a narrow margin considering all the accepts.i would say that if ur driving abt 20,000km+ annually and have plans of keeping the car for a max of 4 years go for the vista, else the swift. The advantage that the swift has over the vista is the EPS and the suzuki tag!!However the tata wins in the space and comfort(both riding and driving) dept!!The only risk that will have to take in the case of indica vista is that the car is still to prove its worth!!(i mea n the image amoung people). The city milage of the vista would be abt 1 km less, highway almost the same, but the gear shift in the vista is better as u dont have to switch gears too often because the engine is retuned to produce 190nm torque at 1750 rpm!!..another factor with tata is the taxi tag!!...if u can compromise on that and if u drive abt 20k+ km annually...simply go for the vista quadrajet!!...i seriously feel that the car has got enough punch in its belly to go a long was and prove its worth!!!
